When can you expect Android 12 to arrive on your phone?

The official Android 12 release date has arrived, but when will it be available on your Pixel?

We’ve officially reached the technical conclusion of the Android 12 deployment since October 4, 2021. The operating system is now stable and available to the general public.

The Android Open-Source Project has the operating system available right now (AOSP). This indicates that the final and stable version is available for download.

However, most Android users do not utilise the AOSP version on their phones. The majority of users use Google apps and Android skins, but Android 12 isn’t currently available for those users yet. Google announced on October 4 that the operating system will be available in a few weeks for Pixel phones.

For the record, Google released the first beta of Android 11 in June last year, followed by the final release in early September. The launch of AOSP and the rollout of the Pixel happened at the same time. Obviously, there were some delays with this year’s debut, which is likely due to how drastically Android 12 differs from previous versions.
